Hornby 2012 and Lifecolor paint now available from us
The RAIL EXCLUSIVE website continues to expands with the opportunity to purchase the best of Hornby's recently announced 2012 range… and a great new range of weathering paints
HORNBY'S 2012 CATALOGUE, revealed at the beginning of January, has already generated plenty of discussion. Whilst the range is still slanted heavily in favour of steam outline subjects, it does includes a good number of new items that are sure to be of interest to our regular customers. Whilst we have no plans to become a general model railway retailer, we can - through our official trade account - offer you the chance to purchase a selection of the new D&E era items at very competitive prices, especially as many products compliment our previous commissions.

The headline act, without a doubt, is a brand new Class 67 diesel featuring a die-cast chassis, etched grilles and directional lighting. You can pre-order all three liveries from us, allowing you to finally dispense with the services of the old Lima model. Many people have already made the jump and placed orders to upgrade their motive power! Also looking good is the superb Class 60, now to be made available in DB red, along with lower specification East Coast ‘Flying Scotsman’ and ‘Northern Belle’ train packs.
In addition to the Hornby news, we are also please to announce that we are now stocking a hand-picked range of Lifecolor acrylic paints, specially mixed and formulated for weathering. Once a niche area of the hobby, weathering to make your model rolling stock look more realistic is becoming increasingly common. The six-bottle sets, most having been established for the military modelling market, mean that the hard work of mixing has already been done! We’ve seen kits finished using these paints and the results look most impressive, prompting us to offer them to you, the railway modeller, for the first time. Make sure you check out the rust and black effects.

So, there you have it. Please take your time and have a good look around these new product ranges that are listed in both the main section of the site and our online shop. As always, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
